This day was a great day for a beach social due to the extremely hot weather that we’ve been having lately. A beach social was planned at Corona Del Mar State Beach. Members arrived around 6:30 PM. Unfortunately, by that time, all the fire pits were already taken so we had to improvise. We ended up finding a spot on the beach, near the pits, and set up our fort there with blankets and chairs. Although we couldn’t roast our marshmallows and cook our hot dogs, we snacked on chips, fruits, marshmallows, and graham crackers. Since it was getting dark at the beach, members took out their cellphones and used them as flashlights. We all just sat, ate, and talked to one another. We also played a game called “Would You Rather”. It turned out to be quite interesting and fun hearing what all the members would pick. This social was special because new members came out and despite the bad turn of events of not being able to find a pit, we still enjoyed each other’s company and got to know each other better. At the end of the night under the twinkling stars, everyone was tired but had a good time with good company.
